 Thank you all for comming yesterday! :) It was great to share the whole day with you. I forgot to take pics at the pool...sorry! I'm certainly going to miss you  next year!!!!

Madrid mit Freundinen

V and K! Herzlich Willkommen! Yesterday was a complete day :) We started off with some shopping at Hollister Co which I'm addicted to, I can't help it. A while after walking around the mall, we headed home to the swimming pool for a small swim and to have lunch. After a small nap, we went for some ice cream and got on the train to Madrid.

First of all, we visited the City Hall's Observatory from which one can see a complete view of Madrid. Then, we walked through "Paseo del Prado" and up "Calle de las Huertas" where we made a stop at "Plaza de Santa Ana" to have a drink at the Hawaian Bar. Oh, and we also took some pics at the mirror from "Callejón del Gato".

Filled with energy and flowers we  went to see the Royal Palace :)

We finished watching the sunset at the "Templo de Debod", a gift from Egypt to Madrid. It was great spending the day with you gals ;) I wish you a safe trip home and that you enjoyed your stay in Spain.

Costa Brava

Sunrays all over, M, N and I didn't stop at all in Calella de Palafrugell. We didn't stop one minute :) We would wake up and go running, eat breakfast, prepare lunch and head of to the boat for a lovely day at the sea. The water was so clear we could see the fish as we swam.

After a nap cuddled by the waves and another swim, we would head off home to shower and get dressed. One ready, we headed off to a different medival town (each unique!). We walk around, take some pictures and have a drink, I enjoyed the fresh juices.

There are so many hidden corners... and we wanted to see it all! So we sometimes hike (as well as we could) or walk on rocky pathways. I'm very grateful for this 6 days I've enjoyed with M and N :) You are so nice and sweet young ladies! Oh, and please, don't forget to dance ;)

Hang loose

 Isn't summer just great? To plan, go eat ice cream, go for a walk til late because it is still warm outside (and too hot during the day), see the stars at night (I need to do this one!)... This last weekend J and I went to Somo, Santander. It is surf-town. A lot of people go there to surf and the business there is huge.

We got ourselves a board to ride waves. It had been two years since the last time I had surfed so I was hoping I would remember how to do it and to be able to stand up. We both made it! It was really fun, I think were out there for like.... hours... maybe four ¿?

We did fall a couple of times... well, maybe a lot. Specially at the beginning and when we got a little tired. One need a lot of strength in their arms to stand up, I definetely need to do more push-ups.

After this weekend, I'm certain of something though... If I ever live near the beach, I will have a surfboad! :)

Happy 4th of July

Hey Everyone!
HAPPY 4th of JULY! It is the first time I've ever celebrated it while living in Spain, and it was sure fun!
We ate Macarroni and Cheese, a huge Caeser Salad, cashews, chips, hummus. S made an amazing New  York Cheesecake (will you give me the recipe?). We also had some star-cutted watermelon with blueberries to symbolize de the American Flag and some patriotic cupcakes. B & J got beers and ice (thanks boys!).

I was very happy to finally meet N and her sister, L. They are really sweet and bright young women. We also went for a small walk around the park to see ducks, geese and rabbits. They always run around at night.
B, M, N and L are visiting Valencia this weekend, I wish them a great stay :)

Aren't M & N cute? They make such a lovely couple! :)

Relaxing afternoon with mom :)

I love stay at home Sundays, specially if I don't have to study anymore. I stayed home all day in my PJs watching movies. By the end of the afternoon, my mom and I walked to Starbucks for snack. I asked for the Venti Soy & Straberry Frapuccinno and my mom got a Venti Caramel Coffee Soy Frappuccino. I'm in love with the soy milk they use: Bjorg. We also had a Carrot Cake and a Raspberry Cheesecake. I don't usually go to Starbucks because I think it is too expensive, but they've had an offer of 50% off during the Eurocup Championship when Spain plays and since I'm not much of a soccer fan... I'm off to Starbucks!

For those soccer fans: Spain won.
