Vegan in the Pacific

Hey everyone!

How is your weekend going? After being sick this week... I was in heaven today. Yes, there were no angels (unless my friends and I count as such), but floated around a vegan festival: free cookies, creams, food, and an amazing yoga class outside. It felt like a dream. My sweet A and A came with me.

The event took place at the World Beat Center in Balboa Park. It is spray painted in an international flavoured. Flags from many countries hang from the ceiling. Even the bathroom was decorated, it looked like an jungle! There was everything one could think of, even vegan doritas made with rice and beans. Taste was sensational!

There was also a "pledge tree", you would put your thumb in ink and stamp it on a tree, like if it were a leaf. On the leaf one could write a veggie compromise: "Vegan for 1 week", "Vegetarian for 1 month", I wrote "Veg 4 life". I thought it was a really cute idea. After walking around and trying and taking all possible free samples, we had a very nice yoga practice.

After relaxing and stretching, we finished our veggie morning at a vegan restaurant "Loving Hut", we ordered 5 plates in total and.... can you guess how much the total was? 39 dollars including a generous tip, not bad for the 3 of us, right? Plus, since we couldn't eat everything.... I have food for tomorrow or Monday!

To end the afternoon, we drove to Pacific Beach. It is the first time at the beach since I've been in San Diego. I fell in love with Pacific Beach: long, pier, and with grass! My dad would have liked it :)

We said bye bye to the beach as the sun went down with some hot coffe/chocolate/tea.

Happy Halloween

or give me something good to eat,
if you don't, I don't care,
I'll pull down your underwear."

Aztecs vs. Army

 S-D-S-U! S-D-S-U! Aztecs fight!

Yesterday was the first game of football season. Everything was amazing. Before the game, there is something called "tailgate". It consists in hanging out around the stadium before the kick-off. There were so many things for students: free food, free t-shirts and many other give-aways from the companies that sponsor the games.

I got some sunglasses, a cool SDSU T-shirt, lipbalm and some pens :) Not bad, hu? It was sooo crowded and it was very hot. Also, we got a removable tatoo with SDSU symbol on our cheeks.

The game? Well, I have to admit I don't know the rules. So... I don't really understand everything that is going on. The best? Everything is a party: music, band, cheerleaders... it is just awesome! You can take a look in this video I made (the quality is not very good... next time it will be better, I promise!).
